The client is a cooperative located in the AGADIR region and founded in the early 1980s by farmers, specializing in thecitrus packing and export in several European countries.

The cooperative currently manages more than 3000 ha with different citrus varieties: NADORCOTT, CLEMENTINE, MAROC LATE, WASHINGTON SANGUINE and other varieties.

The capacity of the cooperative’s packaging plant is about 40 tons per hour, with a staff of 350 people.

The challenge

The customer’s objective is tocontroller of production costs:

On the one hand, in the current situation due to the exponential increase in prices, whether for energy, fertilizers or labor, and on the other hand, the global competition of all farmers.

And the key to this control is to have an efficient and accurate Irrigation network to avoid losses due to equipment failure.

In this sense, the cooperative is always seeking to optimize and renew its facilities and to find the most efficient and suitable equipment for this challenge.

One of the big problems of this cooperative is that they have many farms with old Drippers that do not regulate and homogenize the Irrigation properly, which sometimes causes huge cost overruns.

The solution

We began with a period of consulting where we received the concerns and problems of this cooperative and where the proposed solution was to useAZUD PREMIERdripline, as a robust, reliable and technologically advanced Dripper to meet the challenges faced by this cooperative.

The solution is completed with a Filtration systemHELIX AUTOMATIC WEIR for the protection of the Irrigation system, since the previous one was very obsolete.
