Sustainability is part of our corporate values. That is why we aspire to be leaders in creating new solutions for sustainable development. But we also strive to continuously improve our internal processes so that they become increasingly responsible and ethical, generating a positive impact on the environment and society.

We manufacture responsibly, caring for the environment and developing technology for a more sustainable planet.
At AZUD, we work to make the use of water—our most valuable resource—sustainable. As specialists in solutions for efficient water management, we develop technologies that help our customers save water, energy, and reduce emissions. Our environmental commitment is reflected in both our products and our processes: we are committed to water efficiency, the circular economy, renewable energy, and the responsible use of resources.

Our environmental commitment is based on four main pillars:

Responsible manufacturing

  • Continuous improvement to reduce emissions and waste.
  • Optimization of material, energy, and water use.
  • Control audited through our certified Environmental Management System (ISO 14001)

Respectful technology

  • High-precision irrigation solutions.
  • Reuse of process water.
  • Watershed protection.
  • Energy and resource savings through the use of our products.

Renewable energies

  • Official Carbon Footprint Registration with MITERD.
  • Emissions verification by AENOR (Scopes 1 and 2)
  • Emissions Reduction Plan 2021–2025.
  • Over 1,000,000 kWh of solar energy generated in 2024, avoiding the emission of +250 tCO₂e.

Circular economy

  • “Zero Plastic Waste” Plan under the OCS initiative.
  • Project with ERDE for the technical recovery of our used agricultural irrigation tapes.
  • Use of recycled pallets (79% of the total by 2024 = 217 tons of wood recovered)
  • 2024 energy audit integrated into the SICMA-SST.

Working Conditions and Safety

  • ISO 45001 Certification in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Collective Bargaining Agreements for 2024–2027.
  • Occupational risk prevention protocols and heart-safe zones.
  • Ergonomic assessments and health monitoring.
  • Heart-safe space since 2019

Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

  • Implementation of the Third Equality Plan.
  • Implementation of the LGBTI Plan, in accordance with Law 4/2023.
  • Specific actions regarding accessibility, diversity, and social inclusion.

Training and employment

  • Active participation in job fairs: UPCT, UMU, SEF, and the Alcantarilla City Council.
  • Internship agreements with universities and training centers.
  • Promotion of young talent and lifelong learning

Ethics and transparency guide all our decisions. We have a robust Code of Ethics, an active Ethics Hotline, and a Criminal Compliance System currently under development. We continuously evaluate and improve our management practices to ensure responsible governance, aligned with the highest standards of quality, integrity, and regulatory compliance.
