Finca Tardienta has been transformed through the implementation ofSUB-SURFACE DRIP IRRIGATION (RGS)the company is an outstanding example of how to save water, fertilizer and labor costs while increasing production.

Ismael, a corn farmer, has not only significantly increased his production and reduced water and fertilizer consumption, but has also overcome the challenges presented by wind and soil Salinity in his area. Thanks to the RGS installation, tillage has been made easier and maintenance tasks have been reduced.

The challenge

Finca Tardienta was faced with the challenge of increasing its production in spite of thewater scarcitythehigh price of fertilizers and theair release valves constant which generated a lack ofcrop uniformity. In addition, it had to face a soil with high levels of Salinity.

The objective was to achieve greater efficiency in thetillage and farm maintenancethe cost of labor is also reduced.

The solution

The choice for the installation was the emitterAZUD PREMIER PC ASspecifically designed forSUB-SURFACE DRIP IRRIGATION (RGS). Its self-compensating and anti-siphon technology prevents particles from entering the emitter at the end of Irrigation, guaranteeing optimum performance.

In addition, Filtration equipment with disc technology and automatic cleaning was installedAZUD HELIX AUTOMATIC DLPfiltration degree of 130 microns and a Flow rate of 180 m3/h, which keep the water in optimal conditions and ensure a homogeneous mixture and a quality suitable for an exceptional performance.
