The challenge

They undertook an innovative project with thelargest estate in Europe in productionorganic/ecological apple.

The transition to organic agricultureimplies a change in crop management. The adoption of a super high Density framework, the restriction on the use of herbicides and having the Driplines on the surface have posed considerable challenges in this process.

Additionally, the Use of organic nutrition is much more complex to work with. In addition, they were looking to have alow water in apple production. The farm had certainslopes and the project itself represented alarge investmentwhich would require a guarantee.

The solution

TheSUB-SURFACE DRIP IRRIGATION (RGS) gave us an answer and solution to all the problems and challenges of the project. We managed to lower the water footprint and eliminated the Dripline from the surface, managing the plantation without encumbrances and without stepping on the Dripline.

In addition, the installation and design withAZUD PREMIER with its large labyrinth passages, although it is designed with a flow rate of 0.9 l/h, we are assured thatoperation with total guarantee against clogging and organic nutrition.

On the other hand, a disc filtration system is usedAZUD HELIX AUTOMATIC 4DCL DLP DLPwhich filters both the Irrigation water and the nutrition, to achieve an optimalmore homogeneous and of a higher quality suitable to work with total guarantees in the Irrigation system.
